there's no bobsled alas, :) You've seen things that totally slipped me by is all.

I was pleased to note a reference to a literary Bond outing: Bond attempting to shoot the glass from Severeine's head recalls Scaramanga's dare to him in chapter ten of THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN.

Lots of references to TMWTGG, including the idea of a brainwashed/tortured assassin (Silva) attempting to kill M, and of course Scaramanga's homosexuality. The film version is also drawn from, with Severine being an updated Andrea Anders, with hints of TSWLM's Viv Mitchell in Bond exploring her sexual past.
