Alright, well....everyone appears to be taking it well...there hasn't been any talk of mutiny.....so, we'll give him his due and move on from it. I would like to suggest that among the moderators two of us should assign ourselves, or be assigned, to read through his posts and be responsible for editing him or taking any corrective action necessary, that way there is a paper trail and we all know which moderators are working with him and which aren't assigned to his....case. Make sense? That's my take on it. Any volunteers? I'm willing to monitor him. He doesn't bother me and I can probably more objectively evaluate his posts than maybe someone else who doesn't care for him all that much. |

Just sweep it under the rug then. Won't be missed or might grow back. |

| Just PM him and tell him if he posts the retarded shit, than he's getting the boot for good.
Pretty simple, isn't it?

Yes. But then, I suspect he's heard that line of patter before. |

| To be honest, I'd completely forgotten that his ban only ran until Christmas Eve as kind of a joke that it would be the "festive" thing to do to give him another chance, without me having much intention of granting him such. As I was busy over Christmas (as many of us are), he came back in without me noticing until it was too late. If he steps out of line, don't worry about pulling the trigger as I'll do it myself.

So far it has worked out well. I'm monitoring his posts the best I can. Also trying to gently remind people not to intentionally provoke him. Our jabs and barbed criticisms, our hate and our anger..... should be reserved for, and directed at, CBn and/or MI6, not each other. My momma always used to say :'If you don't have something nice to say about someone at Bond and Beyond, say it about someone at MI6 or CBn'. Because I'm the moderator BAB deserves, but not the one it needs right now. A silent guardian. A watchful protector. A dark moderator. |

| I do agree that goading jWild is pointless. Unseemly, at best. If you can't tolerate the guy--and I can understand if you can't--just put him on "ignore." |

I did put him on ignore New Year's Eve funnily enough and then forgot about this New Year's Day only to think Trevanian was ranting at thin air in the Trek thread. |

| The ignore option is pointless because you then lose context in threads, as Hilly just did with Trev's post being a response to j7wild. Best way to ignore is seeing the name "j7wild" then then scrolling down further. |

Perhaps. But somehow I pity him. I can't help it. I don't take him serious; I never have. He's never been confused with an intellectual giant and you can't help but feel sorry for someone that finds me insightful, or feels compelled to steal my words and present them as his own. In the end, he has the bigger problem. |

| Apologies I feel might be needed for my remark in the Iraq War thread but something snapped to a point. Though not big fry compared to recent 'events' he's a pain. PM's made a few comments of late, Blunty and myself. It's there M, the first warning. You lot can make of it what you want. My patience in all sense is thinning.

| Given that the unbanning was a mistake on M's part (he never was meant to come back on Dec 24, that was just a joke M forgot of) I feel he should have been rebanned anyway. Coming back defeats the purpose of a ban. |

It does defeat the purpose. The feeling is we're lumbered with him. Doesn't help the image problem we feel we have here. |

| I'd suggest just banning him from the general discussion/news/current events sections of the forum, under the ruse that a few people are being banned from those areas because of recent controversial comments and arguments. That way he won't feel wholly victimised, but even still he should just be thankful that he's here at all, given the amount of chances he's been given. |

And how nearly every other forum has banned him too and never let him back. |

| Just ban him. Period.
He pisses off 90% of our members. He derails topics. And no one knows what the fuck he's going on about half the time.
It's like having a VD and not taking anything for it. Why keep it around? |
