| I prefer to take it as a promising sign. Of course it's fan service, what else? It's not as if fans hadn't demanded something like it for ages now, isn't it? |

| I think Control mentioned something a few weeks back about wanting them to reuse the OHMSS theme which is coincidental, methinks. |

We won't know for sure until he has his hands on a furry pussy. And I agree that the explosion at the start looked shyte. Surely the Bond films can, at the very least, blow shit up without using CGI. |

We won't know for sure until he has his hands on a furry pussy. If Waltz is playing Blofeld, I wonder if they'll have a scene with him getting a scar like Pleasance's Blofeld and/or him getting the cat... - Quote :

| Unfazed by that, it's not that obvious to me it's CGI. The rest of the trailer looks pretty damn awesome for me. Anyway, very excited for the film now! |

| What do we think of the new MI6?
Looks like part of the underground is still being used for Q-Branch, which I think is kind of cool. The desks in the open plan space and the clerks also looks very 60s… I do really like the new (old?) MI6, but would have liked to have kept seeing the real MI6 building interiors of the Brosnan/CR/SF films. |

| I'm pretty sure we do see the interiors of the old MI6 - that's what the wall with Bond's name on it is; the memorial for fallen agents. I looked, but didn't see Tiago Rodriguez, though (there is, however, an "Emma Pill"). |

| Sexist rubbish. I won't be watching this patriarchal penis-fest until someone can convince me that it addresses the life-threatening issued faced everyday by the global LGBT community. Also it must ensure their safety and advancement; I think that we can all accept that re-education is the main function of filmmaking in a decent and women-friendly Progressive Society.™ |

| Wasn't expecting the white suit or OHMSS theme. Wonder if that'll make the movie.
Looks pretty good. |

| Does anybody else find it odd that M chastises Bond for operating outside his purview, but then Q is equipping him?
I wonder if M is making a show of it, given that there is some kind of political intrigue surrounding the future of MI6. After all, he was pretty tolerant of Q and Tanner's plan to lead Silva astray in SF; chastising Bond seems like a departure for him. Maybe he's trying to move the Double-Oh Section bsck underground, so to speak. |

I liked the spaceship look of MI6 in QOS, mostly because it really emphasised the way they were so cut off from the outside world. QOS is filled with a lot of symbolism that is squandered by a story that doesn't do what it tries to. |

Maybe he's trying to move the Double-Oh Section bsck underground, so to speak. The brief glimpse of their dynamic in that scene does sit a bit awkwardly at the moment - though I am only going by the trailer. I thought we may have re-entered mutual respect territory, given the end of SF, but that may not be the case. Also seems to depict Bond as a bit more flippantly, which is better I suppose than the thug of CR, but seems very overt compared to what we've had in the past. |

| I suspect Denbigh has something to do with it - he's a member of Whitehall and clearly wields some kind of influence. I'm guessing M might be building on Bond's reputation for insubordination to give the appearance of taking control of MI6, acqueising to Whitehall's demands to clean the agency up and freeing up Bond's manoeuvrability; especially if he suspects that someone is trying to compromise MI6.
I'm especially curious about Alessandro Cremona as Marco Sciarra; he was initially described as an assassin, but is now an infamous criminal. Taking him down might raise the ire of someone in SPECTRE or whatever is left of Quantum. |

| Time will tell…
Someone on Facebook picked up on a possible homage to Carver in TND. If you stop on 2.11, he seems to be holding some sort of device in a screen heavy room, not unlike Carver. |

No coincidence. I said months ago that this was nothing more than a thinly veiled remake of OHMSS and that's exactly what we've got. |

| So there will be girls brainwashed at a clinic to spread biological warfare, lots of ski chases, and Bond marrying and losing the daughter of syndicate boss?
Yeah, sounds like a re-hash, with a lot of work put into the trailer to make it look like something different.
Thanks for the heads-up, Grav. I think I'll give this one a miss.
Then again, Lazenby told us that Skyfall was going to be a bomb, and I trusted him... |

| Anyone else notice the DB5 in the background at Q Branch? I knew SF wasn't gunna be the last time we saw it. |

| K guyz can we keep in mind that not all of us elected to read the leaks and therefore do not wish to be exposed to spoilers. I didn't know there'd be "brainwashed girls" etc. from merely watching the trailers, so please keep that stuff covered by spoiler tags or in the appropriate spoiler-filled thread. |

| Six months ago, if you told me they'd be using Barry's OHMSS theme in the trailer, I would have thought you were full of shit. What a nice surprise and more proof that this is Mendes' interpretation of OHMSS.
Hopefully this film doesn't suffer from the same problem as CASINO ROYALE: great trailer, piece-of-shit film.
Bunch of sexists. |
