| Bernard Hermann Film Scores - Elmer Bernstein conducts the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
Got it for free from Amazon because I've racked up MP3 credits during the last few months. Not a bad compilation of Herrmann's music. |

| Got the STAR TREK V special ltd ed last year, and am in the running to win a copy of COMMANDO ltd ed in an online drawing (can't bring myself to PAY for a Horner score anymore, especially one that sounds exactly llike 48HRS and RED HEAT and ANOTHER 48HRS and GORKY PARK, but without the latter's snazzy eastern-sound arrangements.) |

tis be my policy on Horner. Well the Trek scores were an exception but the last 'proper' Horner buy was Enemy at the Gates about...crikey, nine years ago. Got Glory OST by other means. |

| Got Tintin for 'Imself for Christmas, and also ordered The Wild Geese and Kelly's Heroes.
£18 quid for Kelly's Heroes!
But it's one of his favourites, so there you go.
He's told me not to order War Horse until he's heard it. I ordered it on the basis that he loves John Williams, but he says he'd rather see the film and hear the soundtrack. Bugger. I bought Tintin and he's not heard that. Hope it's okay.
Hope the other two arrive before Christmas. |

| WAR WHORES is great. Williams's finest since A.I. TINTIN's a very fun listen too. |

| Well, it's not released until after Christmas anyway, so if he does like it, it's his birthday in March. So I'll get it then.
I think he'll be pleased with Kelly's Heroes. He didn't know it's on CD. He's got the vinyl. |

| Rave: if he's a fan of Roy Budd, I really recommend WHO DARES WINS or THE MARSEILLES CONTRACT. Much better than THE WILD GEESE. |

Oh, I'll look into that one. Thanks. |

| Indeed, if Who Dares Wins is available I'd be in there like Lewis Collins down that hallway. |

| Earlier this week, I finally got around to buying the 10-track 'Twin Peaks Archive' from DavidLynch.com, which features some unreleased cues from TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME.
For $3.99, available in Apple Lossless, I highly recommend heading over there and downloading it. The saxophone theme, alone, is worth the $3.99. Gorgeous theme. |

| Kelly's Heroes was a 3,000 limited print, and contained everything off the album plus a load more. Excellent! |

| Nice, Rave. Is that a Film Score Monthly release?
I purchased Bernstein's re-recording of THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR. Hadn't heard this recording before. I'm really enjoying it.
Anyone know how McNeely's re-recording of Herrmann's THREE WORLDS OF GULLIVER is? |

| To be honest, I have no idea. I got it from Amazon, that's all I know. Apparently, silvascreen are very good. |
