Skyfall (2012) - UK Oct 26th , US Nov 9th [SPOILERS]

The train chase in Turkey ends when Eve shoots Bond on top of the train.

Bond's mission in Turkey is to find and kill Patrice. Patrice is a mercenary who has been causing trouble for Silva, a high-value MI6 target. The idea is to kill Patrice, gain Silva's trust and bring him in. But the mission goes awry and Patrice senses that he's been made. He runs, and Bond gives chase, assisted by Eve.

Eve feels that things are going on for far too long, and shoots Bond to end the chase. She then tries to get close to Silva by making him believe that Bond was actually Patrice. However, her duplicity is quickly revealed - Patrice and Silva may have been working together from the start in order to infiltrate MI6 - and they attack MI6.

Bond, having recovered from his bullet wound, is recalled to London to deal with the the problem. He is given a psych evaluation before being given his mission, but works out what is going to be asked to do. He hesitates when he is asked about "Skyfall" and leaves when he is pressed about it because he knows his assignment is to find and kill Eve before Silva and Patrice strike again.

The title bit is amazing! Bond turns and shoots at the screen, wearing a suit. A gunbarrel forms around him and spins. Bond walks slowly toward us, with his gun at his side, through the gunbarrel (like the teaser poster)

The dialogue, i can't remember much of, it all went over me. There's bits and pieces of it. Bond introduces himself though! "Bond James Bond." I think he's saying it to Bardem. The music is about 3 minutes worth of that electronic Bond theme from the teaser, new mix then it turns into a fully orchestral Bond theme. It sounded very nice.

Q: ”I’m your new quartermaster.”
Bond: “You must be joking.”
Q: “I’ll hazard I can do more damage on my laptop, sitting in my pajamas, than you can do in a year in the field.”
Bond: “So, why do you need me?”
Q: “Every now and then a trigger has to be pulled.”
Bond: “Or not pulled. It’s hard to know which… in your pajamas… Q.”

When Severine is standing by the window in the IMAX trailer, there is a painting in the background - a Modigliani known as Women with Fan that was recently stolen from a museum in Paris. This has led to the theory that Severine is trafficking in stolen art.

Furthermore, Bond is seen getting a briefing in the National Gallery, and the extension of the above theory holds that Bond may be tracking Severine through the art world - possibly by having him pose as a buyer, or a representative of a buyer of stolen art.
