It's showing that Skyfall's China haul is up to $56 million in roughly two weeks of release. Assuming those numbers are accurate, China could account for $100 million. I don't know what the forecast models are for theaters in China, so it's hard to gauge how well the film is doing (though all accounts I've read so far say that it is doing fantastic).
If GHOST PROTOCOL is the gold standard for China, then Skyfall isn't far off. And clearly SF has beaten the overall box office of GP.
Total haul so far is 1,094. billion Once China is all in, total receipts could be in the area of 1.145 billion, which could make it the 2nd best film at the world box office of 2012, I believe. The #2 film of the year, from what I can tell, will be either SKYFALL or THE HOBBIT. GP had the advantage of opening much earlier in China after its US & worldwide release...Skyfall took about 11 weeks...pirated copies must be everywhere but it has still done very well in China. @Tubes...the last BO information for Skyfall in the USA was last weekend's actual receipts, which was just over 1/2 million. Between then and next Sunday it should take in another 1/2 million. But the job's been done, it's gone north of US$300m.... |

| Top 40: In week 17 Adele with her Skyfall moved from the 15th to 17th place. In weak 14 of the movie, Skyfall go from the 8th to the 12 place in Top 20 and from 95 theater counts to 78. With $25,523,954 the studio's can be very happy. The Hobbit whyle not disapointed and it be second movie of 2012 with $15,954,412, there expect more from it because the theater counts in the 8th week of the movie go from 148 to 111. Ice Age 4 will soon move from the 4th to the 5th place Top 5 of 2012, beaten by Dutch movie ''Alles is Family'' (Everything is Family), the follow up of ''Alles is Liefde'' (Everthing is love). Ice Age 4 at the moment $9,673,883, Alles is Family $9,357,743.

| Film has now gone over 1,100,000,000.00 at the box office, making it the #2 film, globally, of 2012; right behind THE AVENGERS. It has passed THE DARK KNIGHT RISES. And unless THE HOBBIT manages to find another $100 million somewhere, it won't be able to catch up to SKYFALL.
The 'Sky' truly was the limit for BOND #23, but now we really better see all the stops pulled out for #24. We all know that, historically speaking, the fourth film in Moore, Connery and Brosnan's series were their biggest moneymakers, so I would expect no less from Craig's next film.
Suggestions for BOND 24: Norway, Australia, and Morocco. Director: Christopher Nolan. Budget $300 million. Title song by: Muse. Projected box office receipts: 1.7 billion.
Make it happen EON! |

Why Morocco? Bond's been there before (as has Jason Bourne), and it wasn't that interesting the first time round. Don't get me started on Nolan... |

Don't get me started on Nolan... First of all, Morocco is the only decent place in Africa to go to. (eh, maybe Kenya, but...). Secondly, it's been 27 years since Bond went to Tangier. There are other places he could go in Morocco. Bond has gone to several places more than once. He went to Turkey again in SKYFALL (after having been there in FRWL and TWINE). I'd like to see more on-location shooting (can't always rely on Roger Deakin's cinematography to fool viewers into thinking Bond is in China when he's not). And thirdly, Morocco is fascinating. |

Dallol would make a great location for a Bond finale, even if it was just used for second unit shots, with the acid craters recreated in Pinewood or Longcross Studios. FWIW, I'd replace Morocco with Borneo (Sarawak, Indonesia or Malaysia - Brunei would be out of the question). It's a more colourful place, with plenty of deadly critters and fauna. If you were going to do a Garden of Death somewhere, it should be on that island. |

| If it's going to be Africa, it should be Capetown and Table Mountain.
There's also Victoria Falls and the lost city of Zimbabwe, Kilimanjaro, all sorts of visually striking stuff.
And I'm all in favor of Mendes sticking around. |

We should move this to one of the hundreds of "locations you'd like to see in Bond 24" threads.

And I'm all in favor of Mendes sticking around. Well, yeah, there's Kilimanjaro. So I guess there's a few good places to shoot in Africa. And I have no problem with Mendes sticking around, but can he make lightning strike twice? That's what the real question is, because I'm sure there are dozens of SONY bean counters looking at the 1.1 billion figure and believing (rightly, I might add), that that figure can be topped. If SF can do 1.1 billion, why can't #24 do 1.3 billion? 1.5 billion? |

If B24 is of comparable quality to SF, and if the film packs similar star power (Adele, Bardem), there is every reason to believe it can make more than SF. Lots of people out there were blown away by SF and eagerly await their next Bond experience. The existing market is large and deep, much like Beyonce's butt. |

| Adele stil stay in Top 40 and in the 18th week she go from 17 to 23 and this week, the 19th week she stay in the list the song go from 23 to 25. With Adele won Oscar, i hope Radio stations wil play the song more and some people will buy the single and this wil give the song a new boost in the list. Goodbye Skyfall. The 14th week whas the last one. In the 15th week the movie no longer stay in Dutch Top 20 of movies. Out of the cinema with exeption of Pathe Munt for this weekend. But only 8-9 days to go and then also Dutch people can buy the movie on BD and Dvd. And because i expect people are litle bit curious to it, how Die Hard 5 doing it in my country and how it fit with the 2012 movies Bourne Legacy and Skyfall. After 2 weeks Die Hard 5 delieverd $1,869,502. This [size=9]comes more close[size=9]r to the Boxoffice of Bourne Legac[size=9]y. | Interesting how a little bit more marketing internationally could've put Skyfall in the top 5 all-time. Underwhelming marketing is a reason why it didn't break the 1-billion ruble ($33 million) mark in Russia, for example. Could've done better in Japan and South Korea too. Oh well. |

| Unexpected, but Adele made a big Skyfalllllllllllllllllllllllll In Dutch Top 40. In the 20th week of the song, the track go down from the 25th place to... the 38th place, means the song falls 13 places. It possible mean that this 20th week be her final week in the list. Of course Monday the song won a Oscar but i also notice the song isn't played much any more. The count of times the song is played is of course only 1 of the 3 sources to get song in/stay in the list. Possible people not legal download the song enough too or buying the song on real single. We must see or that price and the fact the movie wil be released over 5 days on Dvd and BD wil help to stay the song in the list. |
