| That's okay, Brandon. I didn't swallow anyway.
Got myself a copy of 'Dames, Dolls and Delinquents: A Collector's Guide to Sexy Pulp Fiction Paperbacks' by Gary Lovisi.
Educating women was the biggest mistake man ever made. |

| The Road to Samarcand -Patrick O'Brian
one of his few non-Aubrey/Maturin novels. Quite slim too. |

Titanic centenary reprint of the book. Bit on the back says it was the book that inspired James Cameron's film. Yes, so much so that a love story dominated proceedings. |

No mention of Roy Ward Baker on the back? Sons of bitches. nope, to make it worse we have an intro by Lord Fellowes (Creator of Downton Abbey and Titanic) but am reliably informed it "became the source for countless films, novels and plays..." Fortunately I have a ticket to see the Night to Remember film on April 15th so I'm sated in some way |

| According to Page the SA80 is a national embarrassment. Or would be if the British general public were told the truth. |

| On the quiet I imagine a few things are a national embarrassment. For some reason the aircraft carriers bubble to mind.

| It seems the choice is aircraft without carriers or carriers without aircraft. As Richard Littlejohn would say, you couldn't make it up. |

Educating women was the biggest mistake man ever made. Might I recommend the early 1970's Destroyer pulp novels. Sex, violence, smart humour and lots of no-b.s. social commentary. Deftly written by two very good authors. Impossible to put down. I've read them all. |

| I made a US$5,500 gamble on an old, higher-grade set of 11 Spidey comics and resold the last one today...total made...$8,650...not bad making three grand profit within 48 hours with zero overhead. :face:
Currently eyeballing this one...

For those of you who think comics suck, tell it to my profit margin :bom: |

| Volume 1 is in much worse shape than Volume 2, but not much to complain about. |

| Fifty shades of gray, Fifty shades darker, Fifty shades freed.
Shakespeare would be proud!
The movie trilogy is coming and I swear to God:
they better NOT pick Kristen Stewart or Lily Collins for the coveted role of Anastasia Steele, the biggest role since the casting for Lisbeth Salander for David Fincher's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. |
