Sony took delivery of the trailer for the 23rd Bond film, Skyfall, earlier in the week. It will be attached to all the prints of Men In Black III, which comes out here on May 25.
Not even Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones or Lady Gaga — stars of MIB3 — know what’s on the 007 trailer. But Sam Mendes, Skyfall’s director does (duh!).
Skyfall opens in cinemas on November 9 and I can’t wait to see Daniel Craig knocking back a Heineken instead of his regular Martini, shaken not stirred.
The film also stars Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Berenice Marlohe, Albert Finney, Helen McCrory and Rory Kinnear.

I know he does, but he's not in MIB-3. Will Smith, however, is.

Breathtaking journalism at its best. I have a feeling journalism school doesn't teach students how to be witty.

We've seen Baz Bamigboye's attempts at humour before. He claimed that Ralph Fiennes was in "a role so secret, he [Bamigboye] had to take a pill to make him forget about it". Ignoring the obvious flaw in this statement (if he had to take a pill to make him forget, how does he remember taking it in the first place?), it was obvious double-speak for "I don't know shit and my source won't tell me, but I need to make it look like I know".

Well, I am NOT going to see MIB3 in order to see the trailer. I'm hoping it'll debut on this Internet thing before then, or soon thereafter.

You couldn't pay me to see that movie even knowing the trailer is in front of it. It's an amazing comparison really. A trailer for a film character in its fiftieth year preceding a film franchise that can't feel fresh even after ten years.

Well, someone better post the trailer on youtube on that day, so us backward Australians can watch it.

I'll be seeing Men In Black 3. I loved the first two as a kid and the third looks like silly, harmless fun.

Even if it's not fresh, MIB3 should still do well to exceedingly well....it's an opportunity to let tens of millions of movie goers know a new Bond film is on the way.

Which in retrospect is all I really care about sort of.

Interesting info from Deakins Online back in Feb.

Unless I hear good things about MB3 I won't bother. The second flick was a crushing disappointment, they're really have to hit it out of the park for me to get interested.

It's just Sony flexing their muscles. They did the same thing with QUANTUM OF SOLACE, attaching the trailer to HANCOCK.

I think it's just a conspiracy by Sony to subconsciously prime audiences for Will Smith as Bond 7.
It's actually working. We just don't know it yet.

I think Sony's marketing department has developed a fantasy in which people either pay to see the trailer and then leave (as fans of STAR WARS did for the EPISODE I teaser), or go to see the trailer and then decide to stick around for the movie.

For some reason May keeps sticking out in my head. I thought it was him or Mendes that said that right after the press conference. Long shoot though. Interesting considering that we haven't had anything that has seemed to be too major in planning besides the

skyfall lodge bit. I could see downtown London scenes taking a long time too. But still, this is a long 7 month shoot.

Part - or possibly all - of the trailer has been shown at a Sony event in Cancun, Mexico:
Spoiler:
The trailer begins with the agent himself being interrogated under the eyes of the official M (Judi Dench) and Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes). When asked about the mission "Skyfall," he answered only: "It's done." Then scenes of explosions in London, falling buildings in Shanghai and a funeral.

I doubt it. MIB3 just happens to be Sony's biggest release of the early Summer period. All of Craig's previous releases had trailers attached to Sony's big summer blockbusters (Hancock and The DaVinci Code). Just solid marketing.
If they wanted people to inflate a bad movie's box office just to see the trailer, the would attach it to that horrible Adam Sandler comedy coming out in June.
