FWIW, I predict that Newman's score for SKYFALL will have lots of the Bond theme.

Yeah it was as early as May 1st. QOS's trailer came out three days before HANCOCK and that was in late-June/early-July.

No foolin', they actually filmed that and it's literally as I describe it.

I, too, think Newman's score will have a lot of the Bond theme. I'm getting the impression they've thrown this whole "Bond is still becoming Bond" business out given Skyfall won't carry on the Quantum arc, so hopefully that means no more of this "Bond hasn't earned the theme song" yet stuff.

They're interested in pushing the "SKYFALL is Bond with a capital 'B'" agenda, and I don't think you can do that without the Bond theme appearing a solid amount.

Glad I found out now that the Bond Theme won't be making an appearance in the trailer. It would've been a let down to sit there expecting it to blare out.

It seems odd considering how much emphasis has been put on bringing back "Bond with a capital B." The gunbarrel in the teaser poster would've lead one to believe the series' long-standing tropes would feature heavily in the marketing of the film (it being the 50th anniversary n' all).

Still, I hope they manage to make the trailer sufficiently Bondian without the iconic tune. Would be a shame to see a minute-and-a-bit of generic pap.

Seeing at CBn that the trailer will be debuting on BBC Breakfast and posted on the BBC website at around 8 a.m. local time Monday.
