Awkward cuts and out-of-context segues aside, I actually quite like Balje's cut of the trailer. If it were smoother and a little more polished, I would happily accept it as the teaser trailer.

A minute-long version of the teaser? Did the minute-and-a-half version really drag on, or something?

I am sure one of you have privileged inside information about it.

Likely September, if you go by the last two films.

I'm betting August 3rd, attached to the Total Recall film.

And the awkward shot of M, Mallory and Tanner (?) right before that.
I'm trying to figure out what the shot of the TV at the very end is.

Brilliant, Balje. Just brilliant.
I'm glad you chose to be a part of Bond and Beyond.

I for one will be disappointed if SF is more lighthearted and has more humour than CR, which I suspect will be the case. For the Craig era, I would like a few Bond flicks that are closer in tone to the Fleming books. We've had plenty of humour throughout the series. I want something different which we got in CR and QOS. I'm not saying QOS is a good film though but I was happy with it in terms of the style and amount of humour. After Craig leaves the role, then inject in more comedy.
Yes, but I wouldn't say more than in CR (the film) which is why I hope SF is atleast on par with this film in terms of the comedy. More however, will be too much which I suspect will be the case unfortunately.
QOS certainly is not without humour but some tend to overlook it as it doesn't come in the form of cheesy one liner clankers that people are used to in the films. The humour in this movie is in a similar style to that of the Fleming books. It largely evolves from normal conversation instead of Bond uttering some frown inducing one liner after killing someone which is frankly embarrassing to listen to.
I don't mind the oner liners in the Moore films however as these movies are comedy driven.

I'd agree that the humor in CR was at reasonable levels and is pretty much in keeping with Fleming's novels. But I don't think we know enough about SF to make solid predictions on the humor front. I know DC has claimed that Bond will be the second coming of Phil Silvers, but the rather somber teaser trailer suggests otherwise. We shall see.

The problem I have with CR is the kind of humour that's there. Especially like the stuff in the risible "aren't I clever?" train and taxi scenes. It plays like someone who never lived through the 50s/60s attempt at aping those screwball comic thrillers of the time. There's never anything like that in Fleming's books, nor any of the dry, humourless one liners in QOS. If you read through them, you'll find it's more in the absurd situations, social satire, and eccentric characters Bond encounters. In that sense, they've got a lot more in common with the later Tom Mankiewicz screenplays than most would like to admit.

I saw SF trailer in cinema with Men In Black III. When watching in cinema, it becomes apparent that there is no indication that the film is a Bond film, until the very end when the 007 logo appears. Compare with the pre-Craig decades in which the Bondness of the film was trumpeted throughout the trailer. Interesting how much things have indeed changed.
Men in Black 3 was a decent Bond film though, even if SF might turn out to be only a good Le Carre inspired espionage thriller with action.

Oh, I don't know. The trailer mentions England, we see Bond in tux, and Bond mentions M. Then the 007 logo appears. I could have done with a bit of the Bond theme, but other than that, we see sufficient Bond tropes within a little more than one minute's worth of film, IMO.
