What Would You Title Bond 24?

Here are a number of titles which I hear are floating around which potentially could be used for a future James Bond film (maybe Bond 24):


Dangerously Yours (one of the titles originally rumoured to be considered for 'Bond 19' AKA 'The World Is Not Enough')

Death Waits for No Man (one of the titles originally rumoured to be considered for 'Bond 19' AKA 'The World Is Not Enough')

Doomslayer (a made-up fan title which I once heard somewhere on a forum many moons ago whcih sounded good)

My Enemy's Enemy (Ian Fleming is rumoured to have considered this as a title for one of his books)

Pressure Point (one of the titles originally rumoured to be considered for 'Bond 19' AKA 'The World Is Not Enough')

The Propert of a Lady (one of the very last few original Ian Fleming titles left that could potentially be used for a Bond film)

Shatterhand (the name of the villain in the original 'You Only Live Twice' novel)



Does anybody think than any of these are any good, or have any other suggestions?

The Hildebrand Rarity

Sticking with Fleming, A Whisper of Hate is the way to go. The title is so perfect I cannot imagine it won't be used very soon. Then again, perhaps it's too perfect.

PS--Another Fleming title I like is The Fierce Possession. Only problem with that is some bozos might think it has to do with demonology.

It'd have to be a postmodern deconstruction of Bond, but CARDBOARD HERO from THUNDERBALL would be really great for the last Bond flick.

PRESSURE POINT would have been a much more suitable title for BOND 19, I hate how THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH is just chucked in there for no logical reason.

Those titles are great PK, but I don't think EON would go for something sophisticated or ambiguous after Quantum of Solace was largely derided for being a terrible title.

I did like the title, it perfectly made sense with the plot. Bond needs solace after Casino Royale's ending.

To EON's credit, they did explain the meaning of it. Several times. It was the press who decided to dumb it down to the lowest common denominator, with the "What the fuck is this!?" attitude.

I like 'Deadlock' the most from Khanner's suggestions.

It's a stretch to say he needs solace - the book Bond after Tracy's death was in need of solace, not that it helped much -- this is more like Quantum of Closure.

And calling the organization QUANTUM just confuses the issue.

Khan, it's no contest. These two (bolded below) are the best. Flammingesque even. I seen maybe a two-parter like CR/QoS.

A few of your titles have real potential, but most of them simply sound like episode titles for THE BIG BANG THEORY i.e. they are very complex and science-related, and I don't see how they could be used.

They also sound like titles for Robert Ludlum novels.

Others, like "Nine Miles from Mombasa" sound like sappy Oscar-bait drama titles. Like a war orphan with no legs who tries to make it to safety in Mombasa, but fails nine miles from the end.

The only thing that title logically implies is a location nine miles from Mombassa. And if you know beforehand it's a spy flick, one must rule out your interpretation.
